Whole Lot-a Gelata

Whole Lot-a Gelata is more than your regular ice cream shop, it’s an experience.  If you have not had home made gelato, which is real Italian ice cream, then you are missing out!  Chris Parent, the owner, makes all his gelato from scratch so you are always guaranteed a high quality product.

Gelato: the healthier ice cream

Chris fell in love with gelato through his experience working in the health foods industry when he discovered it was the healthier version of ice cream. He decided that he would open a gelato store where customers would experience fresh made gelato from the finest ingredients and get the same enjoyment as they do from the much fattier ice cream.

Want to have a Gelato party?

Whole Lot-a Gelata offers many services in their store from their single serve cones and cups, ½ litre take home size and 4 litre buckets for large events and catering.  They also offer gelato bars (gelato covered in chocolate) and have recently introduced soft serve.  If you are having a private function or would like to have a gelato party at your business they have a portable display freezer they are happy to bring to special events, such as weddings.

More than JUST gelato

Many people don’t realize that Whole Lot-a Gelato offers their customers much more than just gelato.  They serve Planet Bean Coffee from Guelph and Espresso from Italy.  You can also stop in for breakfast or grab some baked goods on the go.  They’re also open late for all your gelato cravings!

What makes Whole Lot-A Gelata Unique?

When I asked Chris what made his product unique, he simply said “forget everything you know about gelato from the grocery store and come in and try the real thing”.  His gelato is fresh and delicious because it is made daily in-house.  You can definitely taste the quality of the gelato which makes it more enjoyable.  Because of this, they have been voted #1 ice cream in Kitchener-Waterloo by the Waterloo Region Record.

Whole Lot-a Gelata is involved locally!

They love giving back to the community and support many different charities.  This includes Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Taste Fresh Taste Local, and The Diabetes Association among others.
