Gloss Boutique & Salon
If you love fashion and you are looking for the hottest trends, Gloss Boutique & Salon is the place to be! All facets of the word fashion can be found in Gloss as it is a clothing store and salon all under one roof. Achieve the look you want to create by coming to one place.
Rebecca Lofsnes established Gloss in 2002. Since then it has been known as the store to go to for the latest fashions. One thing you will notice as soon as you meet Rebecca is that she has a keen eye for fashion and knows what looks good on customers. This solid advice and expert knowledge adds to their exceptional customer service. Gloss is well known for carrying hard to find brands, such as Soia & Kyo and MinkPink among others, which makes you unique and helps you stand out from the crowd. Carrying clothing for both men and women, Gloss also has a vast array of accessories from shoes and purses to jewellery and hats. There is something for everyone!
With a full service salon located in their store, Gloss Boutique & Salon really can give you the full ‘look’ you’re striving for! Gloss has seasoned stylists, and use the best products including Moroccan Oil, Goldwell and Pureology. The stylists at Gloss know the current trends and are happy to give your hair a complete make-over. If you’re tired of your current style, call Gloss today!
One thing that is unique about Gloss is that every year they host Gloss Next Top Model. This is a fantastic way for Gloss to be out in the community sharing their love of fashion. They host a series of events where local models who have applied to participate then compete in various competitions until finally a winner is chosen. During these events, they use local photographers, hair stylists and make-up artists and really encourage community involvement. When I asked Rebecca about this she said “the Models end up doing advertisements that are used in Gloss, it helps them create their portfolios and leads to other jobs.”
There are many local charities that Gloss gives back to in Kitchener-Waterloo. One that goes hand-in-hand with fashion and is dear to Rebecca’s heart is KW Princess Project. They provide prom, grad and semi-formal dresses for young women in the community who cannot afford them. Gloss is a drop-off point for these recycled dresses so if you have something you would like to donate, please bring it in!
