One of North America’s Premier Theatres
Since it opened in 1980, the Centre in the Square has been one of North America’s premier theatres. It has acoustically-superior halls giving audience the same warmth and brilliance from the performer regardless of where you’re sitting. The Centre in the Square also has state-of-the-art lighting systems to complete the whole experience.
Many corporate functions take place here throughout the year. You can lease the Raffi Armenian Theatre for your own large event. If you’re looking for a smaller space, you could always use The Studio, as it is a fantastic multi-purpose space used for receptions, rehearsals, cabarets and private functions.
Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery
Also located within the Centre in the Square building is the Kitchener/Waterloo Art Gallery. It features many excellent exhibits throughout the year. They also have various programs and events taking place. If you are going to a performance at the Centre in the Square, make sure you go early so you can take a look in the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery! Admission to the gallery is free.
