Waiting for Godot

Waiting for GodotIn an unknown place at an unknown time, two men wait. Who are they waiting for? They don’t really know, except that his name is Godot and that he may or may not be coming tomorrow. Desperately stuck, Estragon and Vladimir amuse themselves, engaging in hilarious antics with bleak implications.

The “tragicomedy” follows the two men quarreling, making up, singing, blundering, and meeting strange travelers on the road. While the play rings with farce, not even an audience full of laughter can shake the sinking feeling that the characters have done all this before, and will be doing it again, and again, and again…

The poster child for absurdist theatre, Beckett’s Waiting for Godot is the most entertaining tale of nothing happening you’ll ever come across.
