I visited Sushi Stars on the weekend with some friends of mine who recently moved to Kitchener Waterloo. I thought at first that I was at the wrong location as it doesn’t look like much of a place from the outside. It’s in a part of Kitchener that has yet to undergo rejuvenation.
However, I parked my car in the large lot. The sun was going down and it was quiet and I thought to myself I’ve heard of this place many times and many people like it. You can’t judge a book by its cover.
When my friends arrived we when inside. It is a very simple restaurant with simple decor. We all looked at the menus and all started ordering and talking about the food. Since I eat everything and just about anything I said to my hosts, “You order whatever you like. You’ve been here before”.
Actually, this family told me that they were there all the time. It was there favorite sushi restaurant in Kitchener Waterloo.
I’m not a good food blogger. I said that many times before. I’ve only a vague idea what we ordered. We got spicy salmon, California rolls, eel, I love the eel. The barbecued lamb was especially great. Everything was wonderful. There was lots of food. Always something fresh on the table. Give Sushi Stars a try. That’s my advice. You can’t really go wrong with sushi. There’s lots of parking. It’s a quiet, out of the way place (unless you live in downtown Kitchener) so you’ll always get a table.
