Music For the Love of It
Music For the Love of It is a concert spilling over with music from many different genre. For the Love of gospel, love songs, new age, musical themes, anthems, folks songs and rock and roll! We believe in the celebration of music through many styles, themes, and genre. Our choirs will share their excitement and joy of music with the audiences and the audiences will sing-a-long!
Share in this experience by spending a delightful night with Dr. Alfred Kunz and his choirs (Music Alive and the Nith Valley Singers) on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Benton Street Baptist Church in Kitchener. A second performance will be on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Steinmann Mennonite Church on Snyder’s Road West in Baden. Both evenings will begin at 7:30pm. Doors will open at 6:30pm.
Our special guest and narrator will be KW’s entertainer and soloist, Erick Traplin. Instrumental ensemble will consist of piano, two synthesizers, double bass, and percussion. The program will feature gospel tunes such as Michael Row That Gospel Boat, Shout, Shout Hallelujah, and the Battle Hymn. Love songs featured are The Greatest Love of All, When I Fall In Love, To Where You Are, and How Deep Is Your Love. Theme songs from some favourite musicals are Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In (Hair), Ease on Down the Road (The Wiz), You’re the One That I Want (Grease) and Dancing Queen (Mamma Mia). As a special addition to the program, the Millennium Choir will add new age music to their repertoire. Deep Peace – Bill Douglas’ setting of a 1800’s Celtic Blessing, and China Roses with music by Enya.
Music For the Love of It is dedicated to all people who want to enjoy a night of wonderful music to lift their spirits.
