Lions LagoonLions Lagoon opens for another great summer of fun. Beat the heat at the grand re-opening.

Mayor Brenda Halloran will mark the occasion with an official ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. Afterwards, visitors can enjoy a piece of ceremonial cake, face painting and great music, prizes and giveaways courtesy of local radio station 105.3 KOOL FM. “It just isn’t summer in Waterloo without Lions Lagoon,” said Mayor Brenda Halloran.

Lions Lagoon is a favourite summer destination, offering gallons of fun for the young and the young at heart. Open daily from June 1 to Sept. 3, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., admission to the splash pad is free.

Where: Lions Lagoon, Waterloo Park

When: June 8, 2013 (Please Note: They changed the date from June 1st to June 8th because they’re calling for rain on June 1)

Time: 10:00am – 6:00pm

Cost: FREE
