Explore the exhibits in the Waterloo Region Museum, as schools in Waterloo Region District School Board are closed today. In addition to exhibits, the amazing Fizzical Fizzicks will interact visitors from noon to 4 p.m.

School’s Out Program

FunworX offers programs with safe and fun supervision of your children for the various P.A. Days during the school year. All programs include: playtime in our three-level Play Structure, Rocks & Ropes Course, crafts, games, outdoor time, snacks, lunch and beverages. All programming is designed for ages 4-12 years.

The City of Waterloo Museum

The City of Waterloo Museum presents Canadian Comic Creators. This exhibit features the creative work of award-winning Waterloo cartoonist Scott Chantler.

Scott’s Second World War graphic novel Two Generals – based on his grandfather Law Chantler’s 1943 wartime diary and letters home – will be brought to life with items belonging to Law as well as uniforms from the regimental collection of the Cambridge Armoury.

The exhibition also will touch upon the Canadian Golden Age comic creators with a rare collection of early Canadian comic books.

There are also a limited number of autographed copies of Two Generals available for purchase.

This exhibit runs until May 31.
