Elmira Maple Syrup Festival 2013
The Elmira Maple Syrup Festival is just a few days away. This annual attraction is celebrating it’s 49th year and has grown into the World’s Largest One Day Maple Syrup Festival. Since 1965, Elmira has hosted this annual event that attracts nearly 70,000 people ready to taste the local maple syrup poured onto thousands of pancakes. The entire community comes alive and volunteers, young and old, contribute in any way they can.
The proceeds raised by the Festival are donated back to non-profit organizations in the community.
Taste the experience of the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival. The entire family will enjoy the tradition that makes the town of Elmira a vibrant and fun place to visit.
There are four Vendor shows:
The Outdoor Mall
The Outdoor Mall is one of the most popular attractions at the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival. The main street in Elmira is closed to traffic and about 150 vendors sell their products. The most popular items for sale are maple syrup, crafts and food.
The Outdoor Mall runs on Festival Day between 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The Toy Show & Sale
The Toy Show & Sale is held indoors at Lion’s Hall. This venue attracts thousands of visitors interested in toy collections. About 40 vendors display their collections and/or sell a large variety of toys, banks, games, books, dolls, etc.
The Toy Show & Sale runs on Festival Day between 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. and on the Friday evening prior between 7 p.m.– 9:30 p.m.
The Quilt and Craft Show & Sale
The Quilt and Craft Show & Sale is held indoors in the high school gymnasium. This venue attracts thousands of interested guests annually. There are about 60 vendors, including a Quilting display area.
The Quilt and Craft Show & Sale runs on Festival Day between 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The Antiques and Collectibles Show & Sale
The Antiques and Collectibles Show & Sale is held indoors at the Arena. This venue attracts thousands of visitors interested in antiques and collectibles. About 40 vendors, who display and sell artifacts from days gone by.
The Antiques and Collectibles Show & Sale runs on Festival Day between 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. and on the Friday evening prior between 6 p.m.– 9 p.m.
