DON THOMPSON QUINTET - Tribute to George ShearingDon Thompson is Canadian Jazz Royalty. The multi-instrumentalist is a virtuoso on bass, vibraphone and piano. A member of George Shearing’s famous quintet, Don has re-created the ensemble featuring other Shearing sidemen. All JUNO or JAZZ Award winners, Don plays vibes, with Terry Clarke drums, Neil Swainson bass, Reg Schwager guitar, and guest pianist Bernie Senensky. This evening of beautiful music from the finest quintet in Canada will be the jazz highlight of the season.
