Piece/Meal 2013 in an exciting, expanded version at Kitchener’s historic Walper Hotel. Serving up fresh new plays by the hottest talent in Canadian theatre – served up with a themed light nibble inspired by that evening’s play. It’s a model that has demonstrated success. Last year’s Piece/Meal session featured Jessica Anderson’s The Gods and Calvin Brewer. That draft won the 2012 RBC Tarragon Emerging Playwrights’ Award, Canada’s highest distinction for emerging playwrights. Waterloo Region audiences were the first to hear this award-winning script. Catch them before they hit. First up is Kyle Capstick’s I’m Not Anybody, winner of Pat the Dog’s 2012 24-Hour Playwriting Contest. A fresh, new voice on the theatrical landscape, Kyle is no stranger to awards having already placed second in the Playwrights Guild of Canada National Post-Secondary Playwriting Competition in 2011.
