German Pioneers Day German Pioneers Day honours pioneering families and organizations, of German origin, who have made significant contributions to Waterloo Region’s development in the fields of Culture, Business and Spirituality.

It is a celebration of German heritage and the role Germanic people filled in building Waterloo Region.
