TURF & SURF 2012

Surf Dog This year, on September 9th, the Kitchener Waterloo Humane Society are combining their annual Wiggle Waggle Walkathon and Surf Dog events into one full day of fun, sun, water, and wags. Turf & Surf presented by IAMS and Ren’s PETS Depot is their biggest fundraiser of the year. It is a 5km walkathon that finishes with a splash!

You will enjoy a beautiful walk along the Grand River on the Walter Bean Trail, starting at 10AM from the Economical Insurance Group at 590 Riverbend Drive. Then, enjoy the sun and surf of the Bingemans Park wave pool with your furry four legged friends. At Bingemans, you will have the opportunity to bid on silent auction items, shop at our vendor village, or enter your dog into a dog trick contest. If nothing else, just come out and watch over 300 dogs enjoy the wave pool leash free.

Pledge forms are available at the Shelter at 250 Riverbend Drive, or a printable version here. Online pledging is also an option for far away friends and family:

Individuals and teams who raise $150 or more are eligible for free admission to Bingemans and other prizes. Otherwise, admission to Bingemans is $10 per dog, and people get in free.
