KOI Music Festival
KOI is a festival that puts a strong emphasis on local independent acts. It is set up in a way that showcases these acts to a broader base. Combine this large local presence with major touring acts and you have a recipe for a very sustainable and successful event.
The purpose of the KOI Music Festival is to put the Kitchener area on the national music map. Kitchener has lots of undiscovered and under-appreciated talent. KOI offers exposure for our local bands. KOI Music Festival helps create and continue our vibrant music scene.
In 2011 there were 135 bands, 9 indoor stages and 2 outdoor stages as well as a large outdoor vendor park. 2012 looks to grow on this solid foundation and continue to help establish KOI as one of Ontario’s premiere independent music festivals.
