Elora Quarry

Elora QuarrySince 1976, the Grand River Conservation Authority has operated a small park and swimming spot at the Elora Quarry. But it was a popular swimming area long before that.

The Elora Quarry is a 79 acre (32 hectare) day-use conservation area, just a short drive from Kitchener Waterloo  The former limestone quarry is encircled by sheer cliffs up to 12 metres (40 feet) high. Although not permitted, cliff jumping is the thing to do at the park. The park rangers eject you from the park for cliff jumping, so expect an end of day show from the brave and fool-hearty.

Where: 319 Wellington County Rd. 18, Elora
