THE JAZZ ROOM Presents KEVIN DEMPSEY TRIO

KEVIN DEMPSEY has played with the great musicians from the Toronto jazz scene and toured extensively throughout North America and many international destinations including Malaysia, Italy, and Russia.This chord-less trio features Juno nominee Kirk MacDonald, and celebrated bassist Vaughan Misener. Under Kevin’s lead, they will play familiar standards along with original jazz tunes in a very intense and unique setting.

Each member of this high energy trio brings his own experienced approach and individuality to every meeting.

• Kevin Dempsey – drums

Dempsey is a charter member of the Dave McMurdo Jazz Orchestra, and also plays with the Dave Restivo Quintet, the Peter Appleyard Quintet, and has appeared in performance and on recordings with numerous other leading jazz musicians. He is a member of the Music Faculties of both McMaster University and Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario.
