Celebrating 100 years of Kitchener's CityhoodKing Street Extravaganza – Celebrating 100 years of Kitchener’s Cityhood. Kitchener is 100 years old and the party is just starting. Downtown Kitchener kicks off the 100 years of cityhood on King Street in downtown Kitchener with music, activities and food from the past 100 years. This event will be a memorable one.

Celebrate 100 years of Kitchener becoming a city! Downtown Kitchener will become ground zero. The official kick off of the Celebration of Cityhood will feature live musical performances from the most iconic periods in music history, art, interactive historic activities, multi-cultural performances, wandering entertainment and other live performances. The day will be filled with fun for all ages. Be amazed by the Wonder-filled World of Mental Floss Sideshow as seen on City TV’s Breakfast Television. They’ll be on hand throughout the day providing entertainment for all ages. There will be something for everyone!  Come celebrate Kitchener 100!
