Waterloo Air Show
It’s almost time for the Waterloo Air Show. Here again are the Snowbirds to excite and entertain. Lucky are we to hear the roar of the planes overhead on June 2nd & 3rd. If you’ve never been to the Waterloo Air Show, this is it’s fourth year and every year it gets bigger and better. This year will be no different. It promises to be an absolutely fantastic two days of fun and excitement. See the Aviation Expo. Browse the Static Aircraft display and stand by to be wowed by the air show!
The first Waterloo Aviation Expo and Air Show took place in August 2009. Since then, the show has grown every year and enjoyed exponential increase in participation from the Canadian Forces highlighted by the 9-plane Snowbirds formation team, a great selection of civilian aviation acts, and from the U.S. Armed Forces.
This year the Snowbirds will be back. You will also see everything from modern jets to historic warbirds. You will witness some amazing aerobatics. Bring your camera and get pictures with some of the amazing planes at eh Static Aircraft Display! The pilots and crews will be there to answer your questions. Get in the cockpit and pretend to fly!
In 2011, the Waterloo Air Show shortened its name, (although the Aviation Expo remains an integral part of the show). The quality of the acts is second to none. In past years performances from all three of the Royal Canadian Force’s demonstration teams: the Snowbirds, the Skyhawks Parachute Team and the CF-18 Hornet have been happening right here in the skies above Waterloo!
There will be food and beer and FREE water stations at the show. Bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a blanket or lawn chair to sit on! Visit the Kids Zone’s rides and amusement.
This is the Waterloo Air Show’s fourth year. It draws crowds from all over the province and the world! Almost 40,000 people come to the show. If the weather is great, attendance records will be broken again this year. The Waterloo Air Show has quickly become an event that you won’t want to miss.
