TapestryTapestry is Kitchener’s month-long festival of music, dance, food, art, storytelling and images. It celebrates our community’s great diversity. Tapestry festival takes place every June in a variety of downtown Kitchener venues.

 

Tri-Pride

Tapestry kicks off with tri-Pride with the largest LGBTQ Music Festival in Waterloo Region! This family-friendly event features a vendors’ market, silent auction, BBQ, TD Kids’ Zone, and a licensed area.

Muslim Women Storytelling

The Coalition of Muslim Women of Kitchener Waterloo tells stories and encourages dialogue. Get to know your Muslim neighbours!

Where: Kitchener City Hall

Our World Festival of Music 

Our World Festival of Music will be on hand at the City of Kitchener Centennial Celebrations

Where: Civic Square

When: June 10, 2012

Time: 5:00 – 8:00pm

 

K-W Multicultural Festival 

Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Festival celebrates all that is multicultural.

Where: Victoria Park Commons

When: June 23 & 24, 2012

Time: 12:00 – 8:00pm

 

Latitudes Storytelling Festival 

Latitudes Storytelling Festival looks at the past while also celebrating the future, as part of the City of Kitchener’s 100th anniversary of becoming a city.

National Aboriginal Day 

National Aboriginal Day takes place during the K-W Multicultural Festival. This event features traditional dance and drum performances, children’s activities, food, and crafts!
