UWAFT 5km Earth Hour Run/Walk

UWAFTThe First Annual UWAFT Earth Hour 5km Run will kick off Wilfrid Laurier University and University of Waterloo’s Earth Hour activities. All of the race proceeds will go towards UWAFTs participation in EcoCAR2: Plugging into the Future. Support UWAFT in making a change in our Earth’s environment by encouraging alternative fuel options that reduce the amount of emissions released into the environment.

Enjoy an Earth Hour 5km Run/Walk event organized by The University of Waterloo Alternative Fuels Team (UWAFT). Support the Earth’s environment by choosing activity that requires zero emissions. Learn more about UWAFT.

The race will take place at the Waterloo Park Picnic Shelter on Saturday March 31 at 3:30pm. Registration fees are $10.00 per participant and include a race kit. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the race.

All proceeds will go to UWAFTs participation in the EcoCAR2: Plugging in to the Future competition.

Race Route: Race will begin at the Waterloo Park Picnic Shelter, continue into the Park and will finish at the Picnic Shelter. The UWAFT Earth Hour Run will be a 5km run. Please note that both runners and walkers are encouraged during the race.
