Mad Science Fire and Ice Show

Audiences will be dazzled by our spectacular Fire and Ice Show! We will heat things up with our disappearing fire! Next we’ll cool you right down to minus 79 degrees Celsius with a mesmerizing dry ice presentation! Listen to a spoon scream and check out a neat rainbow reaction. Volunteer to taste a burp, touch exploding, foggy bubbles or take a Mad Science shower! Finish off with the incredible Swoosh, Whoosh, Aaaah!

March Break Madness Camps

This camp features daily outings, crafts, sports, songs, drama, special guests and more!  Open to ages: 5-12 years

Chicopee’s March Break Madness

March Break runs March 12th – 16th, so enjoy the ultimate staycation for families and friends at Chicopee! Why worry about traveling out-of-town when you can ski in your own backyard.

To celebrate the last week of the season, we will be running the following specials:

Monday – Friday: 4 Discover Programs for a family of 4 will be priced at only $264 (a savings of $104). We will also have our individual Discover Programs at $66 per person – a savings of $26. All Discover Programs include: 1 group lesson, full day rentals, full day beginner centre lift ticket and a $5 food voucher. Group lessons run from 9am – 3pm and run on the hour.

Monday: Get $3 off the price of a family sized pizza or nachos.

Wednesday: Purchase 1 lift ticket and get the second one free! This special applies to ANY LIFT TICKET PURCHASED.

Thursday: KIDS SKI FREE (including rentals) with purchase of an adult lift ticket. Kids 12 and under will receive the same lift ticket as the one purchased by the adult. (Rentals available while supplies last).

Friday: Kids between the ages of 7 – 17 can buy one 4-hr lift ticket and get another 4-hr lift ticket for another youth FOR FREE.

Swim, Skate and Play Basketball in Waterloo

During March Break the City of Waterloo’s Memorial Recreation Complex has an expanded pool schedule.The Swimplex is located at Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex at 101 Father David Bauer Drive in Waterloo.

March Break Film Festival 2012

The Princess Cinemas March Break Film Festival is upon us again. This is the one week a year where all seats are $5 and kid-friendly shows run all day long. We are pleased to offer nine movies a day, spread out between our Original Princess Cinema (6 Princess Street West) and our Princess Twin location (46 King Street North). These films range from G-rated to PG-rated, and are appropriate for children and adults of all ages. Nine of our titles are animated, but we also have a few live-action films too including the just-released Drew Barrymore film “Big Miracle” and the final film in the Harry Potter series. We recommend coming early to purchase tickets and then taking a stroll in uptown Waterloo. Doors will open twenty minutes before the scheduled start-time of the films.

Stir it up Junior Chef Camp

Children from 8 to 13 years of age will take over the Kitchener Marketplace at the Kitchener Market from March 13 to 16 for an interactive cooking camp during March break.

The classes are hands-on, so participants should expect to roll up their sleeves and get messy.

March Break Madness at Waterloo Region Museum 

March Break Madness takes place at Waterloo Region Museum over the March break holiday week from Saturday, March 10 to Sunday, March 18, Monday through Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This week long event features activities and demonstrations to keep the all ages engaged. From steam engines, to storytelling, to games that even mom and dad will enjoy, visit Waterloo Region Museum for a great family outing during the March break holiday week.

March Break Madness also features storytelling for children in collaboration with the Baden Storytelling Guild (storytelling sessions approximately 20 minutes in duration).

–   March 13, Derek Brisland, 10:30 a.m. & 11:30 a.m.

Waterloo Region Museum is located at 10 Huron Road (just off Homer Watson Blvd.) in Kitchener, Ontario. Note Doon Heritage Village is closed for the season and will re-open May 1. Regular admission rates apply.
