Grill Burger Kitchen

The Grill Burger KitchenGrill Burger Kitchen is a new burger restaurant on Fairway Road in Kitchener.

The problem of working with a partner who likes hamburgers as much as I do is we end up lunching on burgers and fries much too often for two guys like us. Twice last week Alasdair and I were at The Grill Burger Kitchen on Fairway Road and I have to say the food and service are both top notch.

The burgers are great, made from fresh ground meat, not frozen box patties. The meat makes all the difference to a great burger. The fries are real too, big juicy fries in a big box. But because we were there twice in two days instead of getting the regular – Big Juicy Burger with fries, I ordered the Canadian Burger (with cheddar and bacon) and the onion rings which I’d highly recommend. They rings were huge. They were doughy and crispy.

Alasdair and I have been to The Grill Burger Kitchen several times since they opened their Fairway Road location (probably because we have a house for sale on Cedarwoods Crescent) and its never disappointed.  It’s actually a better store than the original which recently went through a renovation. It’s bigger and there is lots of parking.

The Grill Burger Kitchen has more than just burgers and fries. They have wraps too. Maybe next time I’ll have one. They are enormous.

If you’re hungry and in this part of town The Grill Burger Kitchen is most certainly worth a stop.

I agree, it's fantastic! I tried it for the first time a couple of weeks ago and wow that beats anything from McDonald's! I had the Greek Burger - if you like gyro and feta cheese, you should try it next time! Massive burger, I could barely finish it and wasn't hungry for supper that night! :)

My kids got wraps, hubby got the burger with chili and onion ring on it, and he got onion rings as a side. I got poutine..we all got sodas. Wraps and burger were pretty good, but the poutine was HORRID. Their "gravy" tasted like preservatives mixed with salt...sooo gross! However, my BIGGEST complaint about the place was the staff. The place was DIRTY, and the teenagers they had working there were just standing around looking bored. If you can LEAN you can CLEAN, and obviously they weren't! The bathroom was RANK and filthy! It was no wonder to me why the place was completely empty at 7pm, I can't see this place lasting much longer unless they get some decent management in there.

Just wanted to add...one of the teens actually did something while we were there...she wiped down a table. However, the vinegar was still on the table when she sprayed the cleaner on the table! SO, the vinegar now has the cleaner in it and all over the bottle. Yum.
