Public Lecture: Medications & Alzheimer’s Disease
The author of papers on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, including the management of behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia, Dr. Rojas-Fernandez frequently educates physicians, pharmacists, and other health care professionals on aspects of Alzheimer’s and related dementias and other areas of geriatric pharmacotherapy.
People living with Alzheimer’s disease are vulnerable to adverse effects from medications.
Dr. Rojas-Fernandez will discuss the broad concept of appropriate medication use in older people, provide specific examples of medications that patients with Alzheimer’s disease should not use, and highlight current treatment options.
