Kitchener Waterloo’s Iron Horse Trail

iron horse trailThe Iron Horse Trail was once the rail link running between Waterloo and Kitchener. It has been converted to a bicycle and walking trail.

Covering a distance of 5.5 kilometres, the rail trail was opened on October 5, 1997 on an abandoned Canadian Pacific Railway line. It is part of the Trans Canada Trail.
