City of Waterloo Museum
Many people don’t know that the City of Waterloo operates a museum at Conestoga Mall. It opened in October, 2009. It’s a permanent display and exhibition space for the City’s Heritage Collection of over 10,000 artifacts.
The mall donated 4000 sq. feet for the museum in an innovative partnership that allows the City’s collection to come out of many years of storage. It was last permanently displayed at the Seagram Museum. The museum at Conestoga Mall allows these valuable and fascinating artifacts to be accessible to the public year round in permanent displays and rotating exhibitions. It also provides a wonderful venue for interaction with the community.
I was there again last week. I wanted to visit their “nuclear fashion” exhibition.
