365 things to do in Cambridge

Amanda Maxwell is a colleague of mine. I’ve known her for almost as long as I’ve been a real estate agent. As the internet – blogging, social media, tweeting and who knows what else is coming down the pipe, slowly changes the way real estate agents connect with people, helping us inform and advise, Amanda has embraced the medium, as have I, as a natural extension of who we are and what we do.

Amanda has been blogging about Cambridge, its restaurants, new developments, its nightlife…in a similar way that I have been on my “fun site” 365 things to do in Kitchener Waterloo. Amanda, like me, works for what many consider to be the friendliest and most easygoing real estate brokerage in Waterloo Region – Prudential Grand Valley Realty.

Prudential Grand Valley Realty is unique in the region as we have two offices. I’m in Kitchener Waterloo and Amanda is in Cambridge. Amanda and I are the most active bloggers among the more than 120 agents at our firm. We’ve been sharing our knowledge with each other (any anyone else who will listen), what we’ve been learning about blogging in general and social media in particular.

About two weeks ago I encouraged Amanda to start 365 things to do in Cambridge. Just like I started 365 things to do in Kitchener Waterloo last July, Amanda, last week started 365 things to do in Cambridge as a facebook page.

We can learn a lot about Cambridge from Amanda.

What a great idea! I love the thought of a Cambridge extension to the KW site!
