Leadership Waterloo Region Information Session
Are you passionate about your community?
Would you like to expand your network in Waterloo Region?
Are you interested in developing your leadership skills?
Are you arising decision-maker in Waterloo Region?
Leadership Waterloo Region is a community leadership development program that provides opportunities for leadership skills development and community network building. Join the program and make a positive impact at work and in our community.
Each year between 20 and 40 applicants are selected to participate. The class comes together for a total of 10 weekdays and 2 weekends between September and June for a series of workshops. In addition, the class is divided into work teams that each takes on responsibility for the completion of a project in our community. Class members are introduced to our community’s present leaders and join a growing network of program graduates, all of whom are working to ensure the long-term health and prosperity of our community.
Leadership Waterloo Region’s 250 alumni are heavily involved on more than 300 boards of directors and committees in our community. In addition, some have elected to also serve in public office. We regularly link alumni with leadership opportunities and we are pleased to make it possible for local Social Profit organizations to share information with our alumni network.
