Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker at Centre in the Square
From a wintery schoolhouse in Bisset, Ontario to the lush summer wetlands of Algonquin Park, follow Klara and the Nutcracker Prince as they experience Canadian landscapes filled with snowflakes, Mounties, and charming woodland creatures.
Born from collaboration with Kleinburg’s world-renowned McMichael Canadian Art Collection, the production features backdrops from Canadian 20th Century landscape artists Franklin Carmichael (Church and Houses at Bisset, 1931), Tom Thomson (Snow in the Woods, 1916) and L.L FitzGerald (Trees and Wildflowers, 1922).
